At the HVMI annual meeting on
June 4th, 2011, member concerns were raised about the possible
decline in slip values due to their relationship to slip rentals. Based on the motion to review this
situation, the HVMI Board of Directors
decided to remove slip rental listings from the HVMI website in an attempt to
stabilize slip rental rates. This action
was effective June 15th, 2011.
The Harbour Master will be the single point of contact with regards to
slips rentals. Owners and potential
renters should contact him for the latest information on slip availability,
prices, and required documentation. This
service will continue to be free of charge to both owners and renters. Also, rental payments will continue to be
handled directly from the renter to the owner.
